Our guide will help you make the most of your time in the huge Zhangjiajie Scenic Area. See the essence of Zhangjiajie and get to know why the area inspired Avatar’s Hallelujah Mountain. The visit includes at least 5 highlights and each one will surprise you. The tour date is flexible and the itinerary can be tailored according to your own requirements.

Zhangjiajie National Forest Park: Zhangjiajie is a famous tourism destination in Hunan province. The scenic area often called Zhangjiajie actually refers to Wulingyuan Scenic Area, covering an area of 264 square kilometers with over 97% forest coverage, which comprises the Zhangjiajie National Forest Park, Tianzi Mountain, Huanglongdong (Yellow Dragon Cave), Baofenghu (Baofeng Lake) and the Suoxi Valley.
At Wulingyuan, you witness the incredible scenery at Baofeng Lake, Huanglong Cave, Shi Painted Corridors, Peculiar Stone Bridge and other natural attractions. Great experiences are offered on the cable ride at Huangshi Village, or a sightseeing lift at Shuirao Simen and Bailong (White Dragon). Minority culture and folklores are represented in nearby villages and towns, inhabited by Tujia, Bai, Miao and Hui people, making worthwhile side trips.
Yuanjiajie: Yuanjiajie is in the northern corner of Zhangjiajie National Park and covers a land of 1,200ha at an average altitude of 1,074m. Ecstasy Spot, Backyard and First Bridge are the top 3 attractions at Yuanjiajie. You can reach Tianzi Mountain and Yangjia Valley from here.
Mt. Tianzishan Cable Car: It is known for 4 natural spectacles - the clouds of mist that circle the peaks of the mountain,the amazing views of the rising sun,the moonlit nights and snowcapped winter peaks.They include more than 80 natural platforms to take in the magnificent scenery.Take the cable to enjoy the views downhill and relax.
Tips: It usually takes 30 minutes to wait for the cable car.
Hallelujah Moutnain in Yuanjiajie
Baofeng Lake: Baofeng Lake is in a basin created by the terrain in the middle of this mountainous area. A climb of about 100 steps is required to see the lake. A 30 minutes boat cruise on this lake is available with entertainment by the local minority people as they sing their traditional songs.
Glass-Bottomed Bridge: The glass bridge is the world’s longest class-bottomed bridge and became the most popular attraction now. Tourists can have a bird of the whole canyon by standing on the 300-meter-high bridge.

Tianmen Mountain: Regarded as the 'soul' of Zhangjiajie, Tianmen Mountain is the highest mountain in Zhangjiajie. The views include graceful ancient trees, karst hillocks and long roads that are carved from the sides of the cliff. The cable car takes 30 minutes from the city center to the mountain top and is the longest cable in the world. The whole tour takes at about 2 1/2 hours.
Tianmen Mountain Glass Walkway: Tianmen Mountain Glass Walkway, located in China's Tianmen Mountain National Park, is one of the world's highest observation platforms jutting out from a sheer cliff1, 430 meters (4,700 feet). The 3-ft-wide, 2.5-in thick glass walkway offers sightseers terrifying thrills and clear view of the mountains below as they tread nervously across it, and has been compared to the Grand Canyon 'skywalk' in Arizona, USA.
You will be transferred to the airport after today's tour.
Tianmen Cave
We use different hotels for different tour classes while the itinerary is the same. Deluxe Class is usually staying at a 5-star hotel, Superior Class at a 4-star hotel and Tourist Class at a 3-star level hotel. The prices for one person are based on sharing twin hotel rooms with another guest. A supplement is necessary if you want to book single rooms. And the prices may rise during national holidays, such as the National Day (September 30th to October 6th) and Chinese New Year (late January or early February)
